A message from the Headteacher...I am delighted to introduce St Michael's CE High School to all of you who browse these webpages. St Michael's has provided a Christian education for the young people of Chorley and its surrounding areas since its foundation as a church school in 1964. We are proud of all that has been achieved in the intervening years and of the reputation that we have built up in our local community for quality education supported by Christian values.

We are very much a family at St Michael's; staff, pupils and parents work closely together to ensure that pupils not only develop their potential but also become responsible and self motivated adults, mature in body, mind and spirit.

St Michael's has enjoyed consistently high examination results over many years, but during the past four years there has been a significant improvement with both National Curriculum Key Stage 3 results and GCSE results. More recently, we are now the first school in Chorley to exceed the 80% pass rate mark with current GCSE results.

Our many successes will become evident as you browse this website. Our standards and expectations are high and we strive continually to improve our provision.
